Though the dimensions and factors determining success differ from individual to individual, it requires basic ingredients like strong desire, determination to achieve it, consistency, planning, and evaluation.

Write your goals every day. Now that’s a very basic criterion. Unless you have a goal in life, you will never make it in life. Success always begins with the identification of goal. You clearly need to know what you want in life. You really need to know how bad you want to achieve it. Identifying goals and segregating them as long term and short term goals will help you plan accordingly and work on them. Doing this gives you a clear picture on what needs to be done and how it needs to be done.

So, remember to begin your day with goals. Though you may have long term goals in life, but it is the chunks from your small-term goals that contribute to your long-term goals. Hence, make sure that you spend at least 15 minutes at the beginning of your day to determine what is the goal that you want to achieve on that day. Write your goals for the day on a paper, diary, or a to-do list, whichever pleases you.

If you really want to be successful in life, you better take time for exercise. It is only if you are healthy, you will be able to achieve goals in life. Exercising keeps you fit both physically and mentally. That’s the main factor that determines the chances of your success.

Additionally, regular exercising not only makes you fit, but it helps you understand yourself better, gives you strength and endurance, teaches you discipline and inspires you to take the extra mile by pushing your limits.

So, remember to add leat 30 – 45 minutes of exercise in your daily routine. How and what type of exercise to be included is always your discretion.

Keep training and keep learning until you get it right. Learning is a continuous affair. Never stop learning because life never stops teaching. Being open to learning is one way through which you can identify what went wrong and how to fix it. Not only that, further it helps you to plan in accordance with the changing circumstances and situations which is considered vital for achieving success.

Create a mindset that accepts learning as a life-long process. Learn something new every day. Never miss a single day without learning something new. Identify the areas that you are passionate about, keep learning about it or explore different areas that you want to learn.

From making you smarter to increasing your brain powers, reading can actually do wonders in life. If you really want to be successful in your life make reading your ultimate companion. If you already have this habit, you are one step ahead of the others. But, if you have not included this in your routine, it’s time that you begin it today.

As a beginner it might be an arduous task for you, but trust us it’s going to be easy and enjoyable. Begin with the genres that interest you. Set with 10 – 15 minutes of reading initially and gradually keep increasing the time as you progress.

5. Observe

Often at times, we get so busy that we try to forget or ignore what’s happening around. Being successful demands the knowledge of your surroundings. You cannot be so rigid that you ignore the happenings and changes happening in your surroundings.

Observe the people around you, the changes in the social settings, the trends, innovations, advancements. Having an eye on these changes and advancements will not only make you smarter, but it might help you to cash in with those changes in the form of opportunities.

Stress which has become an integral part of every human today needs an effective approach to eliminate it. Taking a few minutes of your day meditating will not only release your stress but will make you happier.

7. Journaling
